After wanting a Whippet for the past three years, we finally tracked down
Signet Dogs, a reputable breeder last June. We were able to go visit the pups before they were ready to go home (they were about 5 weeks old). The breeder was very kind, inviting us into her home and answering about two hours worth of questions. We had been getting ready for a puppy for about two months before we got to pick him up and bring him home.
We got Wally right when he turned 8 weeks old. He was the first in his litter of 11 to go to a home. He rode in the car nicely, and seemed to acclimate to our home immediately.

Looking stunning as usual :) |
Wally is now 6 months old, and has so far been way easier than I could have ever imagined. Sure he went through a biting stage where for a while I swear that he saw me as a piece of juicy raw steak, but he got over that rather quickly. We were able to crate train him right away, he only had two accidents in the house before he was potty trained and walked on a leash pretty nicely the first time it was put on him. We did bring him to six weeks of puppy classes at the local animal shelter to help him learn the basics.
